Abstract: This paper proposes a holistic framework for parameter coordination of apower electronic-interfaced microgrid interconnection against naturaldisasters. The paper identifies a transient stability issue in a microgridinterconnection. Based on recent advances in control theory, we design aframework that can systematically coordinate system parameters, such thatpost-disaster equilibrium points of microgrid interconnections areasymptotically stable. The core of the framework is a stability assessmentalgorithm using sum of squares programming. The efficacy of the proposedframework is tested in a four-microgrid interconnection. The proposed frameworkhas potential to extend to microgrid interconnections with a wide range ofhierarchical control schemes.
