Abstract: Process engineering has been seen as one ofthe vital tools for improving surface coating phenomena for advanceapplication. In an attempt to improve the mechanical, physical and chemicalperformance of the steel structure for ex-tended application,Zn-CeO2 ZnCeO2-Al2SiO5 thin film composite was fabri-cated on mild steel usingdirect electrolytic route. Process variation of Al2SiO5 particulate ranges from5 to 15 g per litre. The embedded coating was charac-terized using Scanningelectron microscope (SEM). The chemical effect of the developed alloy wascharacterized through linear potentiodynamic polarization experiment and theperformances of samples were examined in simulated 3.5 sodium chloride. Themicrohardness verification study proves that there is sig-nificant improvementin hardness trend. The tribological assessment indicated that there is lessplastic deformation as a result of the counter body. In all,Zn-CeO2 Zn-CeO2-Al2SiO5 exhibits good stability, with agglomeration and greatbuilt up of crystal at the interface.
