Abstract: This paper reports the results of a phenomenological study, which studies the different ways in which middle school students understand and use students self-assessment, and how different self types affect the accuracy of self-assessment. This study attempts to contribute to a growing literature that recognizes the key role students play in the assessment process, especially their different roles in students self-assessment. The results of this study provide insights on how different students experience self-assessment by clarifying the differences in the perception and purpose of Self-Assessment & apos; This is our own learning. This change is described as the hierarchy of logically related students & apos; The concept of self-assessment.
