Abstract: The rising cost of higher education and the learning methods and needs of modern students are changing the teaching pattern. Today s students are getting worse and worse in the form of "lecture only ", and the cost of providing on-site teachers for this form is very expensive. MOOC and other technology intensive options are low-cost but fairly objective. Mixed teaching is promising, and its ultimate goal is the cost-effectiveness of student participation. This paper reports a major curriculum shift to enable students to participate in a large, previously lecture only curriculum. The resulting blended learning courses are characterized by clickers, web-based student operation to help students, media rich interactive online materials, activity credits and newly added video tutorials made by students. consequenceshow that the addition of the student-produced video tutorials increased the student engagement in the course.
