Abstract: Dental education aims to train qualified graduates who are capable of providing quality care to patients and integrating smoothly into professional practice. The purpose of this study is to explore the overall preparation of graduates to integrate into professional practice. The survey conducted a reliability test and analyzed the career path, learning preference, overall knowledge and confidence of graduating dentists in integrating and managing dental practice at graduation. 69 students in the 20-50 age group (89.6 ) participated in the study. Students are highly confident in their skills and abilities and can cooperate with teams or other colleagues and experts in practice, but have reservations about their abilitiespractice management skills (73.1 ). Challenges in gaining employment and pressures to repay educational debts are amongst the reasons for graduands preferring a paid job immediately on graduation regardless of demographics. Students indicated that an increase in speciality training and clinical outreach placements could enhance employability. This study explores the students’ perception of their confidences, knowledge, learning preferences, and practice management skills as a method of evaluating their preparedness to practice on graduation and provides a base line for curriculum structuring to prepare graduands to enter the competitive dental work force.
