Abstract: Objective this descriptive study aims to determine and compare the emotional intelligence level of senior students educated in different fields at Ataturk University. method. The study population included senior students educated in different fields at Ataturk University. The sample group of the study was composed of 305 high school students who received education in different fields (health, society and nature). They were selected by simple random sampling method. Three colleges were selected from three different fields. The research data were obtained by using the personal information scale, which was compiled by researchers according to the literature, involving sociodemographic characteristics and the "emotional intelligence assessment scale "Results. It was determined that while natural science students had the lowest total mean score of emotional intelligence scale, students of social sciences had the highest total mean score according to departments. Examining the difference between the mean scores of three different educational fields, it was determined that this difference was statistically significant. Conclusion. Consequently, the emotional intelligence level was determined to be lower in natural science students and moderate in students of health and social sciences.
