Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of blended learning on English learning achievement and motivation of German Jordanian college students. A pilot case study strategy is adopted. Pilot case study is an effective research strategy to investigate educational problems in real life. Before conducting large-scale surveys, they are used to refine research questions, variables, and case study design. The study sample included 34 students who were purposefully selected and divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group learned English through computer programs combined with traditional methods, while the control group was completely taught by the latter. The results of analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) showed thatatistically significant differences in achievement between the two groups, indicating that the experimental group performed better than the control group. Significant differences were also found in the respective groups’ motivation to learn English.
