Cultivate learners' sense of perceived existence and high-level learning achievements in the online learning environment

Abstract: This study investigated the impact of using rich sense of existence teaching model on learners perceived sense of existence and high-level learning results in online learning environment. The study was conducted in a National University in Iran. 52 higher education students majoring in electronic information technology management were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. The research tools include a gauge to measure learners perceived existence. The researchers conducted a survey to measure learners high-level learning achievements. The results show that the frequency of semantic units produced by students in the experimental group in different types of existence (cognitive existence, social existence and teaching existence) is significantly higher than that of students in the control group. In advertisingition, students in the experimental condition showed more progression in the posttest in terms of their high-level learning outcomes as compared to the students in the control group condition.
