The impact of computer simulation on students' physics teaching performance: is there a gender and regional gap?

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of computer simulation on students performance in physical science teaching, especially Ohm s law. 182 students from two middle schools in mecknes (one in rural area and the other in urban area) were divided into two groups - experimental group (92) and control group (90) - as the subjects of pre-test and post-test evaluation. The test results of two groups of students (control group and experimental group) were compared and analyzed by Student t test, Mann Whitney U test and social science statistics package (SPSS). The results showed that the experimental group performed best after the post-test, while the control group (). Although there is no difference, but in trms of performance, was signed according to gender in the experimental group (), the urban students were more successful than the rural ones, with and without the use of simulations. In this respect, this study recommended using and practicing simulation software to improve and develop the performance of middle school students.
