Quality of selected online learning platforms in the Sultanate of Oman and their impact on Education

Abstract: In 2019, coronavirus disease led to the largest educational interruption in the world, affecting about 1.6 billion students. Classroom education stopped and was replaced by an online e-learning platform. In higher education, e-learning is provided through recorded lectures, and the online platform has become an important part of the whole system. This study aims to determine the quality of the online learning platform and apply a set of standards from the perspective of teachers and students in higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman. Using descriptive methods, the researchers collected data through a questionnaire survey of 32 Teachers and 104 students. The results show that from te participants, but with statistically significant differences according to the type of program.
