Abstract: Metals in medicine are the bridge between inorganic chemistry and medicine. Metal based materials, metal drugs and reagents for the treatment and detection of diseases, their synthesis, structure and general properties, as well as their biological applications at the level of cells and life systems, are very important. The mechanism and role of these metal compounds in cellular regulation and signal transduction of health and disease are the most important. In medical related research, it is necessary to involve researchers with a deep understanding of inorganic chemistry, so as to connect these fields. This special issue introduces a series of papers on different compounds materials for the study of antitumor, antibacterial and antifungal activities and DNA binding.
