Abstract: The thermodynamic parameters of protonation and complexation of 1,4-bis (3-aminopropyl) - piperazine (BAPP) with some divalent metal ions in aqueous solution with constant ionic strength (0.1) were determined by potentiometric titration. In Owen Williams order, it was found that- Δ G0 and- Δ The order of H0 follows. The formation equilibrium of zinc (II) complex and ternary complex Zn (BAPP) l, in which   =   amino acid, amide or DNA component) was studied. Ternary complexes are formed simultaneously. The relationship between the concentration distribution of complexes in solution and pH value was evaluated. The stoichiometric ratio and stability constant of the complexes were reported and discussed. The stability of ternary complexes was quantitatively analyzedely compared with their corresponding binary complexes in terms of the parameter Δlog K.
