Comparison of ultrasonic chemical synthesis of nano silver from starch

Abstract: A new method for the synthesis of nano silver from starch under ultrasound was proposed. The absorption of colloidal silver nanoparticles solution increased from 420 to 440   with the increase of starch dosage, the starch particle size increased. Transmission electron microscopy and selected area electron diffraction pattern analysis show that spherical, polydispersed and amorphous silver nanoparticles   nm with a diameter of 23 to 97 are formed, and the average particle size is 45.6   nm. Selected area electron diffraction (SAED) confirmed the partial crystalline and amorphous properties of silver nanoparticles. The silver nanoparticles synthesized in this way can be used to synthesize 2-aryl substituted benzimidazole with a variety of biomedical applications. The optimized reaction conditions were 10   ml1 mM AgNO3, 25 mg starch, 11 pH range, and sonication for 20 min at room temperature.
