UV and solar photocatalytic degradation of azo dye and textile dye wastewater by green synthetic silver nanoparticles

Abstract: The effect of photocatalytic degradation of chemical dye azo and dye wastewater in different time was studied by using biosynthetic silver nanoparticles. In the presence of green synthetic silver nanoparticles, dye industrial wastewater and azo dyes are degraded by ultraviolet and sunlight to form harmless intermediates and colorless products. The degree of degradation, such as temperature, was tested under experimental conditions, and the absorbance of the dye under ultraviolet and sunlight was measured. The degradation rate of ultraviolet light source is higher than that of solar light source. The green synthesized silver nanoparticles were found to accelerate the dye degradation process in UV light source.
