Abstract: The purpose of this study is to study the potential of carbon nanotubes and iron oxide impregnated carbon nanotubes (CNTs) as adsorbents to remove selenium ions from wastewater. High resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Brunauer, Emmett and Teller (BET) specific surface area analyzer, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), zeta potential, and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) were used.
