Abstract: The purpose of this small review is to report the intervention of molybdenum compounds in the control of cancer diseases. This intervention explains its role and progress, from inorganic molybdenum compounds through organic molybdenum complexes to nanoparticles to control esophageal cancer and breast cancer as a case study. The main contribution of molybdenum compounds as anticancer agents lies in their nanofiber carriers with appropriate physicochemical properties, combined therapy and biosensors (biomarkers). Recent areas of anticancer drug design, including the use of selected targets, have also been investigated and recommended.
