Fabrication of carbon fiber reinforced composite wire head for temporary cardiac pacemaker

Abstract: Compared with traditional leads, carbon fiber composite leads have a series of advantages such as light weight, soft texture and high conductivity. This experiment attempts to use carbon fiber graphene braided wire or conductive cloth to improve the existing carbon fiber based TTCP metal wire, so as to solve a series of defects of TTCP metal wire commonly used in clinical temporary cardiac pacemaker. We carried out a series of measurements, including resistance comparison and stability check of finished product characteristics. The results show that the resistivity of the modified electrode has no obvious change, the carbon fiber bundle is stable and easy to deform under low stress, reduces the damage to myocardium, and has good CLnical application value.
