Abstract: Plant antimicrobial peptides have been isolated from many species. They are composed of several proteomes with different characteristics, such as total molecular charge, content of disulfide bond and structural stability under environmental stress. Although the three-dimensional structures of several kinds of plant peptides have been determined, the mechanism of action of some of them is still not well defined. However, further studies may provide new evidence for their role in bacterial cell wall. Therefore, this paper focuses on plant peptides with anti plant pathogens and human pathogens. In addition, we also describe the folding of several peptides and the similarity of their three-dimensional structures. Some assumptionsfor their mechanisms of action and attack on the bacterial membrane surface are also proposed.
