Abstract: Turn milling is considered as milling the surface while rotating the workpiece around its center point. It effectively combines the advantages of turn milling and milling, and allows good metal removal when it is difficult to cut thin-walled workpiece in aviation. The purpose of this work is to study the cutting force of off milling under cutting conditions. According to the deformation characteristics of thin-walled blades, the prediction models of rigid cutting force and flexible cutting force in turn milling process are established respectively. According to the meshing trajectory, the deformation values of blade and tool are calculated by iterative algorithm. The rigid cutting force and flexible cutting force are compared, and the influence degree is analyzed of cutting parameters on cutting forces are analyzed. These conclusions provide theoretical foundation and reference for turn-milling mechanism research.
