Photon conversion and radiation synergy of europium / terbium complexes containing polymethylmethacrylate

Abstract: The green and red emission of Terbium and europium benzoic acid (TBA and EBA) doped with polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) are shown. The larger intensity parameters (  and (  cm2) show that there is a high trans asymmetric strong covalent environment and maximum emission cross section around lanthanide (LN) ions (  cm2) reveals the effective photon conversion ability of EBA doped PMMA. Color change and fluorescence enhancement are the results of energy transfer and synergistic effect in TBA EBA composite PMMA system. The results show that EU and TB complexes doped PMMA have effective photon conversion and have broad application prospects in improving the lighting quality and efficiency of solar cellsouter space.
