Abstract: Aiming at the deficiency of visual experiment of dynamic field electrorheological effect mechanism, a visual experimental system is designed and successfully made. Through experiments, the submicroscopic dynamic structure changes of ER fluid in the coupling field of external electric field and flow field were observed. The experimental results show that the rheological behavior of ER fluid is mainly affected by the polarization force and hydrodynamic force in the dynamic coupling field. The experimental results show that the yield fracture of chain structure determines the yield strength of ER fluid near the plate electrode, showing the micro flow characteristics of velocity slip. At the same time, capture effectt has been verified in this experiment.
