Damage simulation of microwave-induced random aggregate model under different discontinuity ratio and exposure time

Abstract: Based on the discrete element method of two-dimensional particle flow program (), the random aggregation algorithm and numerical model of two-phase materials (composed of quartz and plagioclase) with different discontinuity ratio and different irradiation time are studied. The results show that the algorithm can simulate the random irregular aggregate shape. In addition, the initiation and development of cracks and the coalescence process of microwave-induced material damage can be predicted by discrete element method. According to the analysis of this study, the microcrack originates from the boundary of plagioclase crystal of high absorption phase, extends around plagioclase and extends to quartz material. The crack shape is radial network.
