Abstract: This paper discusses the experimental results of the flexural behavior and deflection of post tensioned prestressed concrete slab with the arrangement of tendons. One reinforced concrete slab and two post tensioned concrete slabs were fabricated and tested. In this paper, one-way post tensioning method and two-way post tensioning method are considered. According to the test results, the load deflection characteristics and crack mode are given. The post tensioning system effectively controls the crack and deflection. Both unidirectional and bidirectional post tensioning arrangements show similar maximum loads. However, compared with the one-way post tensioning method, the applicability of the two-way post tensioning method is improved. At the same time, the ultimate load of post tensioned plate is predicted by using yield line theory. Th comparison between the test results and estimation by yield-line analysis generally showed good agreement.
