Harmonic average operator of interval binary language and its application in material selection

Abstract: The multi-attribute group material selection problem with attribute values of interval binary language information is studied. Firstly, some operation laws and possible degrees of interval binary language variables are introduced. Then, we develop some interval binary language aggregation operators, called interval binary mixed harmonic mean (ithm) operator, induced interval binary ordered weighted harmonic mean (i-ithhm) operator and induced interval binary mixed harmonic mean (i-ithhm) operator, and study some ideal properties of i-ithhm operator. In particular, all these operators can be simplified to aggregate 2-tuple language variables. Based on i-ithhm and itwhm (interval binary weighted harmonic average) operators, a new AP is proposedroach to multiple attribute group decision-making with interval 2-tuple linguistic information is proposed. Finally, a practical application to material selection problem is given to verify the developed approach and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness.
