Abstract: This study analyzes the performance of a wood structure floor equipped with a self tensioning system patented by the author, which consists of a force multiplier mechanism connected to a self tensioning tendon, which is automatically activated when a load is applied to a structural element. This paper describes the difficulty of the system when the structural floor is subjected to asymmetric load. The proposed solution includes anchoring tendons through adhesive connection in the central part of the member, resulting in favorable moment redistribution and effective deformation performance. The focus of the comparative study is the π shaped cross-section members   m and 15   m with a span of 12, and the sections using non prestressed, initial prestressed and free vibration section steel-ensioning system.
