Abstract: In order to monitor the mid span deflection of Songjiazhuang overpass on 309 National Highway in Zibo for a long time, a DIC deflection monitoring method based on Zhang s calibration is proposed in this paper. The CCD camera is used to track the change of target position, Zhang s calibration algorithm is introduced to obtain the internal and external parameters of CCD camera, and the DIC method is combined with Zhang s calibration algorithm to measure the bridge deflection. The comparative experiments of Zhang s calibration and scale calibration are carried out in the laboratory. The experimental results show that this method has high accuracy. According to the deflection monitoring scheme, the deflection monitoring software of Songjiazhuang overpass is developed by using MATLAB, and the 4-Chnnel CCD deflection monitoring system for Songjiazhuang cloverleaf junction is integrated in this paper. This deflection monitoring system includes functions such as image preview, simultaneous collection, camera calibration, deflection display, and data storage. In situ deflection curves show a consistent trend; this suggests that the proposed method is reliable and is suitable for the long-term monitoring of bridge deflection.
