Influence of water cement ratio on pore structure and strength of foam concrete

Abstract: Foam concrete with different dry density (400, 500, 600, 700 and 800) is made of ordinary portland cement (P.O.42.5R). The 1.5kg m3 cement was prepared by adjusting the water cement ratio with the foaming method of plant protein, and the properties and pore structure and distribution of the cement paste were characterized by rheometer, scanning electron microscope, vacuum water saturation meter and image analysis software. The relative viscosity of the cement paste and the pore structure of the hardened foam concrete were discussed. The results show that the water cement ratio can affect the pore size, distribution and connectivity of foam concrete, and the compressive strength of foam materials.crete showed an inverted V-shaped variation law with the increase in water-cement ratio.
