Abstract: The main purpose of this study is to study the fatigue fracture mechanical properties of aviation oriented tensile polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA). Firstly, the stroboscopic method is used to track the fatigue crack growth in directional PMMA. Then, the uniformity of interlaminar tension was measured by phase-shifting digital photoelastic technique. According to the experimental results, the effect of directional tension on the fatigue fracture properties of PMMA was analyzed. Finally, the fatigue fracture properties of layered oriented polymethylmethacrylate are discussed and compared with those of monolayer oriented polymethylmethacrylate. The results show that the lamination technology can enhance the mechanical properties of the compositeserlayer of directional PMMA and enhance its fatigue fracture properties.
