Abstract: In this paper, a hybrid precast concrete shear wall (hpwem) simulating the overall structure is proposed. The shear wall uses grouting vertical connecting reinforcement and unbonded post tensioned high-strength steel strand passing through horizontal joints to carry out transverse resistance. Grouted reinforcement with a predetermined debonding length is used to provide strength by tension and energy dissipation by yield. Post tensioned steel strand is mainly used to provide restoring force and reduce residual displacement through elastic extension. Lap welding closed stirrup improves the restraint performance of confined concrete and avoids brittle failure. Six hpwem specimens, taking into account variables including the number of tendons and the debonding length of grouted reinforcement, andne referenced cast-in-place monolithic wall specimen, were tested under the low-cycle reversed lateral load. The HPWEM specimens were capable of providing strength, stiffness, ductility, and energy dissipation equivalent to that of the monolithic wall specimen under certain variable condition.
