Joint effect of fiber and cement on mechanical properties of 100%RAP foam asphalt mixture

Abstract: The most important reason is the concern about the source of original aggregate and the increasing demand for building materials for transportation infrastructure, which are key parameters in development, which has prompted pavement engineers to develop new methods to use more recycled asphalt pavement (RAP). One of the common methods of producing mixtures containing RAP is foamed asphalt mixture (FBM). In addition, according to previous studies, the addition of various types of fibers and hydraulic adhesives (such as cement) can significantly improve the mechanical properties of the mixture. This study evaluated FBM containing 100 rap and two fibers and Portland cement. The dynamic modulus, unconfined dynamic creep compression and indirect tensile strength are all Ealuated in the laboratory at optimum moisture content, which was investigated in this research. Both types of fiber and cement proved to enhance specific properties of mixtures.
