Experimental study and quantitative calculation of hydration degree and products of fly ash cement mixture

Abstract: In order to explore the hydration process of fly ash cement mixture, the reaction degree between fly ash and cement and the content of non evaporating water were measured under different water binder ratio, curing age and fly ash content. According to the test results, an equation describing the relationship between hydration degree and effective water binder ratio is established. In addition, a simplified scheme to describe the reaction degree model of fly ash cement mixture is proposed. Finally, using the reaction stoichiometry, considering the hydration reaction and interaction between fly ash and cement, the quantitative equation of hydration products of fly ash cement mixture slurry is proposed. ehanced degree of cement hydration, content of calcium hydroxide (CH), and porosity are consistent with the experimental data.
