High stability of superhydrophobic modified fluorographene films on copper alloy substrates

Abstract: Stable self-cleaning superhydrophobic modified fluorographene micro nanostructured surfaces were successfully prepared on copper substrates by drop coating method. Irregular stacked Island multilayer graphene fluoride nanosheets constitute the microstructure. The prepared films have excellent superhydrophobic properties, with a water contact angle of 167 ° and a water sliding angle of less than 4 °. The developed superhydrophobic surface showed excellent corrosion resistance, and the water contact angle was reduced by only 166 °   weight percentage of NaCl solution in 3.5 seconds. This stable and highly hydrophobic fluorographene film can be used for self-cleaning, antifogging, corrosion-resistant coatings and microfluidic devices.
