Abstract: In this paper, a finite element analysis method is proposed to evaluate the flexural performance of post tensioned two-way slabs, which depends on the arrangement of tendons. The finite element model based on layered degenerate shell element is established. The stress-strain relationships of concrete, reinforcement and prestressed tendons are used to consider the nonlinearity of materials. The bending test of post tensioned two-way slab is carried out to verify the developed analysis process. In terms of deflection, the analytical results are compared with the experimental results, and the results show good consistency. In addition, parametric studies were carried out to investigate the effects of different types of tendon layout.
