Improved analysis of Newtonian material extrusion between two circular plates

Abstract: In this paper, a scheme for analyzing the unsteady axisymmetric flow of incompressible Newtonian material squeezed between two circular plates is proposed. The scheme combines the traditional perturbation technique with homotopy by using the adaptive of Laplace transform. This method is compared with conventional perturbation method (RPM), homotopy perturbation method (HPM), optimal homotopy asymptotic method (oham) and fourth-order explicit Runge Kutta method (erk4). Comparing the solution with the absolute residual, it is proved that the proposed scheme is superior to HPM, oham, RPM and erk4 in accuracy. The effects of Reynolds number on velocity distribution and pressure variation are also studied.
