Study on Preparation of self compacting concrete with ultra-fine Natural talc powder instead of cement

Abstract: The fluidity and compressive strength of self compacting concrete (SCC) were studied by using ultra-fine Natural talc powder (ufnsp) instead of cement. The test was carried out on samples with 5 , 10 , 15 , 20 and 25 ufnsp substitution and cement weight, and compared with the control sample. Test the flow characteristics of all specimens and check their limits according to existing guidelines. All specimens were tested for compressive strength at 7, 14, 28 and 56 days. The microstructure behavior of hardened samples was tested and the elements mg, Ca and Si were plotted. The formation of m-s-h and C-S-H was observed by mapping. The results showed that the addition of ufnsp would affect the reactionces the flow property, by reducing the flow, and increases the compressive strength till 20 replacement. Further the addition of UFNSP increases the denseness of microstructure of the specimens thus resulting in the strength increment.
