Abstract: A famous method for the synthesis of hybrids by organic dyes is sol-gel method, which is based on the concept of molecular manipulation to design ceramics, glass and composite materials. The low temperature process allows the addition of guest organic molecules to the inorganic matrix and the synthesis of hybrid networks between organic and inorganic phases. The aim of this work is to prepare gelatin from three different dyes at different molar ratios by hydrolysis sol-gel process. The interaction between dyes and oxides was studied by UV-vis spectroscopy and FT-IR. The thermal stability of the organic-inorganic hybrid xerogels was studied by thermal analysis. Micrographobtained by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed the high density of the films. Such characteristics indicate the possible application of these films in solar cells.
