Abstract: In the field of structural health monitoring, structural stress prediction and evaluation is the bottleneck of research. In order to reasonably and dynamically predict the ultimate stress of the structure according to the time-varying monitoring data, the purpose of this paper is to propose (a) Bayesian Dynamic Linear Model (BDLM) based on cubic function for monitoring the ultimate stress, (b) the selection method of the optimal probability distribution function of the initial stress state, (c) the monitoring mechanism of the optimal BDLM, and (d) BDLM is an effective method to incorporate time-varying monitoring data into structural extreme stress prediction. The feasibility and application of the proposed model and program are illustrated by the monitoring data of an existing bridge.
