Effect of rare earth on dynamic recrystallization behavior of as cast 30mn steel

Abstract: Based on the casting rolling compound forming process, the effect of rare earth on the dynamic recrystallization (DRX) of as cast 30mn steel was studied by using GLEEBLE-3500 thermal simulator. The deformation temperature range was 950 ℃ ~ 1150 ℃ and the strain rate range was 0.1 ~ 1   s − 1. With the help of process parameters, the activation energy and hot working equation were obtained by using constitutive equation. The dynamic recrystallization kinetic model of the test steel was established. The results show that the addition of 0.2 rare earth ferrosilicon alloy can significantly delay the occurrence of DRX and refine the hot deformation structure. All results show that the addition of rare earthas-cast 30Mn steel is helpful to prepare excellent cast slab for the casting-rolling compound forming technology.
