Abstract: The tensile stress-strain curve of metallic materials can be determined by the representative stress-strain curve of spherical indentation. Tabor empirically determines the stress constraint factor (stress CF) ψ And strain constraint factor (CF) β, but ψ and β The choice of values is still under discussion. In this study, based on the formation of Tabor equation, the relationship between stress and strain constraint factors is analytically described. Experimental tests were conducted to evaluate these constraints. From the results, the representative stress-strain curve using the proposed strain constraint factor is more in line with the nominal stress-strain curve than the representative stress-strain curve using the Tabor constraint factor.
