Abstract: The solidification structure of cu-40wt. Pb Alloy under different undercooling was studied. In the system with stable miscibility gap, the liquid phase separation mechanism mainly involves Ostwald ripening, Brownian motion, Marangoni migration and Stokes motion. Stokes has little effect on liquid phase separation in the early stage and plays a leading role in the later stage. The liquid phase separation mechanism of cu-40wt. Pb hypermonotectic alloy was described in detail.
