Abstract: This paper introduces the results of shaking table test, which studies the influence of cylinder height on the seismic performance and bearing capacity of small independent multi cylinder columns. For columns with one, three and six drums of equal height, only their own weight is considered, and for columns with additional weight at the top of the column. By continuously increasing the maximum acceleration at failure, the column is exposed to the horizontal base acceleration of three acceleration diagrams. The characteristic displacement and acceleration of the column are measured. It is concluded that the increase in the number of blocks in the column can significantly increase or decrease its ultimate bearing capacity according to the type of accelerometer applied.It is expected that the experimental database can be useful in the validation of nonlinear numerical models for the dynamic analysis of multidrum columns.
