Abstract: The contact force between particles is analyzed in this paper. Firstly, the theoretical analysis is carried out based on Hertz Mindlin (no slip) model. Secondly, the normal force and tangential force of single double flying screw feeder with unloading device under three speeds (60 °) are simulated   speed, 90   speed, and 120   using particles with different diameters (3   um,   5.   um, seven   mm) using extended discrete element method (edem) software. The simulation results show that the particle diameter has the greatest influence on the average contact force in the feeding process. This study provides a theoretical basis for studying the motion law of bulk material in screw feeder and developing high-precision feeder.
