One step synthesis of conductive BNC / PPy · CuCl2 hybrid flexible nanocomposites by in-situ polymerization

Abstract: In this paper, bacterial nanocellulose (BNC) and polypyrrole (PPy) were synthesized by chemical in-situ polymerization of pyrrole (py) with CuCl2 · 2H2O as oxidant and functional component. The electrical, morphological and physicochemical properties of these nanocomposites were studied. The results showed that the nanocomposites showed trace copper chloride and copper oxide with the increase of Py concentration and molar ratio. Raman spectroscopy and XRD analysis showed that. These variables directly affect the quality of polymer coated bacterial cellulose nanofibers and the conductivity of nanocomposites. The combination of conductive polymer and oxidant provides Posibilities for different applications such as electronic devices and sensors.
