Abstract: Superplastic forming technology is considered to be an effective method to solve the forming difficulties of aluminum alloys, especially aluminum alloys with thin wall or complex structure. This paper summarizes the basic principle of superplastic deformation of aluminum alloys, summarizes and compares the superplastic deformation behavior of main aluminum alloys, including aluminum magnesium alloy, aluminum lithium alloy, aluminum zinc magnesium alloy and aluminum matrix composites. Then, the superplastic deformation mechanism of different aluminum alloys is deeply discussed. Finally, the factors affecting the superplastic deformation process are comprehensively analyzed.
