Abstract: Indonesian : Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mengetahui model kebijakan pengelolaan dan rantai komoditas perikanan pilihan di Kota Ternate. Kajian dilakukan melalui penelusuran dokumen terhadap beberapa aktivitas perikanan yang menjadi prioritas pengembangan komoditas Kota Ternate. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa komoditas perikanan prioritas Kota Ternate diantaranya adalah TTC (tuna, tongkol, cakalang), kecap ikan (manis, asin), ikan cakalang asap dan abon ikan. Daerah pemasaran komoditas perikanan Kota Ternate adalah Manado (via Bitung), Makassar dan Surabaya. Kebijakan pengelolaan pemasaran komoditas perikanan Kota Ternate didesain berdasarkan strategi dan arah kebijakan pemasaran, prasyarat kebutuhan pengembangan bisnis, dan pola kelembagaan pengembangan komoditas perikanan. Semoga hasil kajian ini dapat bermanfaat minimal sebagai pertimbangan dalam melihat peluang dan tantangan pemasaran komoditas perikanan di Kota Ternate.English : The purpose of this study is to find out the management policy model and the selected fisheries commodity chain in Ternate City. The study was carried out through tracking documents of several fisheries activities which were the priority of commodity development in Ternate City. The results of the study showed that priority fisheries commodities in Ternate City included TTC (tuna, skipjack), fish sauce (sweet, salted), smoked skipjack and shredded fish. The marketing areas for fishery commodities in Ternate City are Manado (via Bitung), Makassar and Surabaya. The management policy of the marketing of fishery commodities in Ternate City was designed based on the strategy and direction of marketing policies, the prerequisites of business development needs, and the institutional pattern of fisheries commodity development. Hopefully the results of this study can be of minimal benefit as a consideration in looking at the opportunities and challenges of marketing fishery commodities in Ternate City.
