Abstract: The development of any nation depends upon innovations and creativeness to compete the stiff competition in technology and trade, consequently innovation is gaining prominence in all kinds of economic activity around the world. Similarly IPR and its policy framework equally contribute to development of any nation. The Government of India announced its first National Intellectual Property Rights Policy (IPR Policy) on 12th May 2016. The present paper reviews and analyses the Indian IPR Policy.
