Abstract: The secure key exchange and mutual authentication are some of the major issues in networks for data communication through internet. The present paper propose a protocol, named here as NoMASKD, for secure key distribution through jointly trusted intermediary with mutual authentication to ensure appropriateness of communication between parties undergoing interactions, without clock synchronization. This designed protocol that achieve dependable key exchange and mutual authentication between two parties under communication is derived utilizing the authentication protocol designed by Needham and Schroeder and Key Exchange Protocol presented by Otway Rees. The receiver has been entrusted the task of acquiring the session key from Authentication server and a sequence of five messages need to be exchanged among parties undergoing communication and the trusted intermediary under the designed protocol.
