Abstract: The purpose is to design a wall engraving machine, and to get rid of some hand tools used in present day and make the process simple, accurate and time saving. This is a development of a new simple machine used in building construction industry. Generally, hand tools are used for cutting grooves and ducts for various purposes like concealing electrical, plumbing and drainage fittings. in any residential or commercial buildings. The development of this machine reduces the use of hand tools to some extent for various purposes of cutting grooves in walls with the desired accuracy and straightness. As the unit should be of light weight for easy access and movement and accurate enough, the components chosen was also similar to do the intended function. A motor of 2200 Watt, three cutter blade of 125mm diameter cutter blades of zigzag type, and blade width of 9mm was selected which can cut a groove of 40 mm wide and 20 to 30 mm deep. Bevel gears were used to transmit the power from motor shaft to cutters. Total weight of machine is 7.5 kg which is easy to handle during operation.
