Abstract: An experimental wind tunnel measurement campaign was undertaken with a view to characterizing the aerodynamic properties (lift, drag, stall angle, etc.) between different flow regimes (Re = 155 000 ÷ 450 000) has was made on goldfinch wings, NACA 4412 and NACA 0015. In addition to the experimental work, modeling the wing of the goldfinch was studied using the meshGambit and the solver Fluent to develop 2D simulation tools on the aerodynamic geometry of the latter.A comparison of the results of simulations and experimental campaigns was made.The results for the aerodynamic coefficients show that the different studied profiles have the same paces under different flow regimes.All these results suggest that the wing of the goldfinch is closer to the NACA 4412. Numerical results show good agreement with those obtained by experimenting.
