Abstract: The production of high purity CO2 from air using solid amine sorbents is studied. It is shown that high purity CO2 can be produced by a pressure temperature swing adsorption. The sorbent can be fully regenerated using a steam purge. An energy evaluation showed that the use of a steam purge can lower energy requirements although the amount of steam should be minimized.
